SWITCHING QUESTIONS
No. Your EIN belongs to your company, not to your provider. It stays the same.
No. Switching is included in our prices, including the state fee to change your registered agent. You pay only the price of the plan or service you choose.
No. Changing your registered agent does not affect your bank, Mercury or Stripe accounts. If you used your old provider’s address as your business address, update it with your bank and the IRS.
Not until we confirm. Keep your current service active until we email you that the change of registered agent has been filed with the state. Canceling earlier can leave your company without a registered agent, which the state can penalize. Once we confirm:
You do not need your old provider’s permission to switch. Once the change of registered agent is filed with the state, turn off auto-renewal with them so you are not charged another renewal fee.
